by Harmony Hodges

No polish

No laces

Unshaven green stubble

Not even touched by a rodent

But its bum like appearance

So foul to many

Held the puzzle piece

Everyone sought

Finally found by a search party

Picked up gingerly

Placed in a plastic baggie

Shown in a courtroom

Across TV screens everywhere

It welcomed accolades

To its DNA drenched sole

And the rodents

They stayed rodents
