Safe Place

by Elizabeth Crawford

Knowing life is a series of risks,
stepping out to take a chance
to dance with all those possibilities.

almost liquid, instead of stiffly alert.

Arms out-flung, seeking balance
of fine line, where one must be cautiously
willing to make oneself vulnerable.
