Disection of a Moment

by Harmony Hodges

Findings

   Revealed

      The moment was:

         Defined by thought

         Electrocuted by emotion

            Swallowed by fate.

 Rich and plump

          Swelling trepidation

              Nauseating hope, i.e.

                 A dungeon without windows.

  Fate decided

           By a puppeteer:

               “I ORDER ONLY SUNLIGHT

BETWEEN THE BEHEMOTH STONE.” (Side note) A tease?

                                                                                                        A glimmer of hope?

Or part of an esoteric plan?

         Further findings:

           The moment became hard

              The rock walls infectious

                  Paralyzed a human’s muscles

                     Poured cement in her limbs

                        She was afraid to breathe

                           Terrified to think

                              But she pushed forth.

         Outcome unknown.

  Theory:

              Regardless of the story of

              The proceeding seconds

              The moment raised its head.

              A reminder perhaps

              That it won’t be ignored.
