The only thing beautiful

in a disaster like this

Rubble and trouble

Double sometimes

I can feel what isn't there

when my yellow suit reflects

a superman blaze

onto my skin

and throughout my corpuscles.

If I'm red and blue,

white smoke makes me patriotic.

A horror I ponder

A tragedy I despise

A brilliance I see

The wonder of smoke.

Writers Bio

I live in Portland Oregon. I was inspired to write something regarding the tragedy in Japan. I referred to the beauty of smoke when it is alone and undefined, along with smoke being a byproduct of something much deeper that affects all of us.
