Surprising Delight

by Agnes Clarke

Standing there within the confines

A spectrum of beauty helps senses unwind

Rising in unison each prism form shared

As dust particles like fairies take to the air

Majestic confusion as jewels in a crown

In kaleidoscope form rainbows of colour dance around

Like a cascading waterfall on walls in calico studded

From square bevelled windows bright with sunshine flooded

Encased in handmade glass jars resting aligned

Nature’s splendour adding scent as incense warmly sprayed

Petal soft smiling faces in adorned floral foray

The garden has entered in competitive display

Cooperative magic with beauty combined

To entrap and enthral completely the mind
